Casino Global and Strategic Partnerships participates in « Gulfood » 2021 in Dubai World Trade Centre

The Casino Group, through its Global and Strategic Partnerships teams, participated for the second consecutive time in the largest annual agri-food trade show in the world: the “Gulfood”. This 26th edition was held in Dubai (UAE), from February 21 to 25, 2021, despite the particular context linked to COVID-19 which led to the cancellation or postponement of the majority of international exhibitions.

In 2021, this 26th edition of Gulfood, on the theme "live in Person", took place in a tense global health context. The organizers of the show have put in place specific health protocols to guarantee the safety of all and keep this event in person.

This year, exhibitors and visitors were less numerous due to the health situation and travel restrictions, but the show still brought together more than 1,500 exhibitors from 85 countries spread over an area of 93,000m² and visitors from 156 countries.

Like last year, Groupe Casino was represented at the show by the Global & Strategic Partnerships team in the French pavilion. The Dubai-based team was able to present the Group's know-how in promoting its brands and products, as well as its expertise in franchising and product sourcing around the world.

The results of our participation in the Gulfood 2021 show are very convincing with contacts that have shown a strong interest for our brands and our brands. The team present on site throughout the week will have collected many new contacts of prospects for franchising and supply.

This exhibition is an excellent opportunity to promote the Group's brands and highlight their diversity to potential future franchise partners: Géant Casino, Supermarché Casino, Le Petit Casino, Franprix, Monoprix, Naturalia and BAO.
